“ We’ve been wanting to come here for a while now and finally made it happen last night, and cannot wait for our next opportunity to return so we can try more of the delectable dishes! We asked for recommendations for our two person party and the friendly server suggested the Serengeti Platter and Pistachio curry. We looked over the menu and decided these dishes seemed like the best way to start our Airdrie African food journey. We started with beef samosas too which were amazingly crispy and delicious paired with the complimentary chutneys that arrived at the table early on. We were so impressed with all of the meats and accompaniments on the platter. The flavours were incredibly rich and all the meats had been marinated and grilled to perfection. The prawns were especially well-done, a good size and not overcooked as they are so many times at restaurants. Chuma’s ribs were also unique and charred just right. The pistachio cashew curry (we had ours with chicken) was out of this world delicious both over the fluffy biryani rice and soaked up by crispy, chewy garlic naan - it was also a generous serving for the price. My partner had a Tusker beer which was tasty and my glass of white wine was a fair price. The experience blew us away, it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in the Calgary area. And very reasonable, coming in at just over 100 for all of this. We will most definitely be returning with others so we can try more of this wonderful cuisine! ”
“ Amazing dinner at the Serengeti Shack!! They had chicken breast skewers and other dishes with white meat which is my favorite and hard to find. The Cauliflower Potato dish was to die for!! I had it with the Ugali and would order that again for sure! My husband ordered the chicken 65 and garlic naan, which was also amazing! The salad that came with our chicken skewers was one of the best salads I have had! Service was amazing, we felt well taken care of and staff are super friendly! Our friends got the Serengeti Platter and enjoyed that as well! My husband tried their beef ribs and loved them! This is a must try!!! ”
“ Amazing fresh food with great atmosphere. Owner is wonderful and great to chat with. We didn't feel rushed or pushed through. Food came very quickly, recommend using hands to eat for the full experience. We tried the Serengeti platter for 2 and enjoyed everything offered. Naan was homemade also. “ What a great experience for our first time at Serengeti Shack! For My sons birthday he wanted to try something different and we were both very impressed! The food was amazing, we had beef sambosas that were so good and the Serengeti platter to try a little of many items (each one so so good!) (the naan was awesome!!!) They had a selection of unique ciders that we tried and were good, our server gentlemen was also great and the atmosphere was cosy and unique! We loved it and look forward to going back really soon!!! ”
“ Tried the famous Chumas Beef Rib and it was worth the hype. We tried the rib with fusion sauce (hot and sweet) and it seemed like the prefect combination. We really enjoyed our dinner there and looking forward to going there again to try their different foods. ”
